Prelude live - Rock Band Competition

'You have the right to waste your time, but you DO NOT have the right to waste other's time.' - said by my partner Saty Kar when he was really pissed of at the start of the show Yday.

Rumors were on air that an entry fee of 200/- per head was fixed, and it was revealed on the day of the show(but later on we found out it was a baseless rumor, and nothing of the sort was done). It started 2 hours late from the scheduled 5 pm time. 10 mins time allotted per band(which was later increased to 20mins). A number of rules and regulations, one being that the band members cannot use offensive/abusive words. Many technical sound problems. Too many bands, and very few time.
WTF?
Two hours late. That is a perfect example of how un-professional and un-organized the people here are.
Rock without abuse is OK,but you don't have to say this in front of the audience. It should have been confidential between the band's and the organizers. This resulted in half of the Rock-fever to go down.
8 bands and 20 minutes per band, that makes it 2 and half hours. It started at 7,so that means it gets over by 9!
The organisers, seriously,DO NOT have the right to waste other people's time.

Getting to the performances..the first band to perform were Negative Feedback. They surely kept the high expectations they were carrying, and set up high standards for other bands to follow. The best part of their performance being, both their songs were OC's (Original Composition)..very well made OC's I must add. Then followed Rezo-Noyze, Fakin Void and Namenlos.
The last being the best. Namenlos.
They can be said to be one of the best bands in the City, if not the state. Always high on energy, high on the 'Rock-Fever'. It's always a delight to be watching them perform. 60% of the crowd were on their way home after Namenlos's performance, I guess that is proof enough.

Four bands were still to perform, but I had to rush home as it was almost 9:30 pm!

News came that Namenlos won the competition. No surprises for me. They were the best.

The delayed start and the many more negativities of the show kept aside, the band's performances didn't quite let us down. The band's played very well. But,let's just hope that future shows start in time, and not 2 hours late,as happened yesterday.
