Football in the rain. Crazy you say? Think again.
Well, today evening wasn't exactly a heavy shower, but it was showering lightly. Just enough for my parents to let me out to play, coz if it were raining heavily..I'd have to stay home. And to my good luck we had more than enough players to start a game(we barely play,it's just usual practice of long range shots and stuff). It was fun. I played a football game in a field after a real long time. It was tiring,no doubt, but worth the effort.
Ofcourse, you can't a field of the quality of Stamford Bridge or Anfield, leave alone Old Trafford. But,people in our country have accepted and do good with what they have. Taking into account the busy schedule every indivisual has,it's very difficult to pull up 11 players, leave alone 22. :D
The quick sprints, the powerful shots, the accurate heading, the chasing when an opponent has the ball....the feeling of knowing that your lungs can explode any moment, the bittersweet smell of sweat and water, the burning eyes, the aching legs. Awww..it's unexplainable. It has to be felt..experienced...football has to be played.
Let's just end this by sharing this lovely quote -->
“Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I assure you, it’s much more serious than that.” ~ Former Liverpool manager Bill Shankly
